WSOP Commissioner Jeffrey Pollack Resigns

Filed under: Poker News.Jeffrey Pollack was once the Vice President of the marketing for Harrah’s Casino in the year 2005 and became the WSOP Commissioner in the succeeding year. He has always been considered as the best-dressed man in the poker room during the World Series of Poker.
Last November 13, 2009, Pollack announced his resignation as the WSOP Commissioner. He has served for four years and has made a lot of changes that really gives improvement in the poker world. The total prize pool for WSOP has doubled tracking back the 36 tournaments and has come up with an 88 percent growth.
Players Advisory Council was also established by Jeffrey Pollack that instituted the $50k H.O.R.S.E. Championship and the November Nine and has increased the scope of the World Series of Poker brand to include in the WSOP Europe.
Due to public demand, Pollack made it to appoint that WSOP will be covered on ESPN for poker fans to enjoy it as well. Poker players have more opportunities to make more money through sponsorships and endorsements deals brought by televised events.
It has been a very good run for the WSOP growth and tournaments when Jeffrey Pollack was the Commissioner. He was very happy for all the accomplishments he had contributed and this was greatly appreciated by all people in the poker World.
