Nevada Gaming Revenues Grew Higher for the First Time

State-wide revenues in November 2009 were reported to be around $873.2 million from November 2008 revenue of $836.8 million as released by the Nevada Gaming Control Board. Finally casino owners in Clark Country had something to cheer about after watching the revenues drop for 22 consecutive months.
The former home of the World Series of Poker (WSOP), Binion, in the downtown of Las Vegas has also seen revenues dropping down 8.41% that made them close their 365-room hotel. In addition, the home of GSN’s “High-Stakes Poker” and NBC’s “Face the Ace”, Golden Nugget also experience the same lose when their revenues drop down to 1.27% year over year.
It was only in North Las Vegas were casino rocketed 20.72% over the year that has increased its revenues to a total of $23.4 million. In Laughlin, Mesquite and Washoe County, gaming revenues drop from 4-6 % for the year. Same thing happened to Sparks and North Lake Tahoe, were gaming revenues also drop. Among all the casinos, South Lake Tahoe took the largest ht in the gaming revenues where they experience a whopping drop of 26.67% year over year.
